Body Worn
Camera Program
The East Greenwich Township Police Department has been utilizing Body Worn Cameras (BWC’s) in our daily patrol functions since 2016. We are in compliance with the recently revised and updated Attorney General’s Directive 2021-5.
The East Greenwich Township Police Department currently utilizes the Motorola V300 high-definition body camera that affixes to the front of an officer’s duty uniform.
We want to remind the public that these cameras will be utilized by officers during patrol as well as interactions with citizens in East Greenwich Township. With the implementation of this BWC system, all incidents and interactions with the police will be recorded according to the East Greenwich Township Police Department’s policy on the same.
